Kira's Bio

Kira received her BS in astrophysics and physics at Butler University and is currently a planetarium presenter at The Adler Planetarium. She also is currently doing research on detection of double compact objects with Gravitational Wave detectors. Kira is extremely enthusiastic about science communication and outreach in astronomy. She helped to start her school’s first ever Women in STEM club and was a tour guide for the observatory and planetarium there. Becoming an events lead for NOVA is the perfect continuation of her work towards making astronomy accessible to all.
